Chapter 9

Arnav woke up with the soft sunlight seeping into the window. A smile on his face he turned to the other side, only to find the bed empty. He looked confused where was she, why wasn't she in bed snuggling with him. He looked around the room to find her standing next to the wardrobe. She covered herself with the silk duvet and was looking into the wardrobe for something. He lifted himself to his elbow and said in a sleepy voice.

Arnav: What are you doing

Khushi: (turned around and smiled) I am looking for my robe Arnavji, i can't seem to find it. Yesterday i put it in your wardrobe and now its not here

Arnav: Yeah thats cuz i removed it from my wardrobe (he said raising his eye brows)

Khushi: You removed it why (she asked confused)

Arnav: (smirking he said) Because Khushi your in my chamber why the hell do you need clothes in here.

Khushi blushed and he smirked and then showed his hand out to her. She smiled and held the silk to her chest and with her other hand she carefully slid hers in his and sat on the bed next to him.

Arnav: Why did you get up so early

Khushi: Arnavji i have to get up early because i have to get breakfast organized for every one

Arnav: Hp is there to do that, dont worry come back to bed (he told her)

Khushi: Arnavji you gave me the responsibility to take care of the kitchen its my duty to see what breakfast is cooking (she explains)

Arnav: (thoughtfully he said) Hmm your right it is. But i will let you go on one condition

Khushi: (scrunched her eye brows and said) And whats that

Arnav: You cook breakfast

Khushi: You liked my cooking so much (she blushed and asked him)

Arnav: (nodded, he then pulled her close and took her in his arms, she sat on his lap and then he said) Yeah i did i loved it, you cook really well (he kissed her exposed shoulder)

Khushi: (blushed and said) Thank you Arnavji for the compliment. (she freed herself from his grip and said) I better go to Shilleena and lavanyas room to find out what they like

Arnav: (held her hand and said) No you wont cook for any one else, only cook for me

Khushi: (startled she said) What!! but Arnavji how can

Arnav: Why can't you, I am telling you to, Cook only for me (he smirked)

Khushi: (rolled her eyes she said) Ok Arnavji your the king i can't argue with you. What would you like ur chef to cook today for you

Arnav: (chuckled) Hmm cook me your favorite dish i want to eat what you like

Khushi: But why, your taste is all bitter and mine is so sweet

Arnav: (raising his eye brow he flirted with her) What are you trying to imply that when i kiss you i taste bitter and you taste sweet.

Khushi: (blushed and then said) No not that

Arnav: Then what

Khushi: Arnavji its just you prefer bitter things and i like sweet things

Arnav: Khushi I tried sweet things from you and trust me they taste good (he smirked) So go and cook what ever it is you like i would love to try it.

Khushi: (blushed and then said) Ok Arnavji (now let me go)

Arnav: (smirked and left her hand) Ok go and remember i am looking forward to try what you are going to make for me.

Khushi ran from the room excited that Arnav wanted to try her dish. She had the most biggest smile on her face and she was jumping. As she entered the kitchen she met Hp

Hp: Mam what would you like us to prepare

Khushi: Nothing Hpji i will cook again today

Saying that she removed the kadhai and filled in oil. Got the baisan and then beag naming the batter. The cooks got onto making everyone else breakfast. While Khushi was cooking Shyam who happened to be around the area. Came in and said

Shyam: Something smells nice

Khushi: yes i am cooking

Shyam:Nice Khushiji, yesterday you met my sister Lavanya she was parsing your food, i would love to try some

Khushi: Sure shyamji but not today, Today i am busy making jalebies for Arnavji and i promised him that i would cook only for him.

Shyam: (boiled with anger but didn't show it) Khushiji you should be careful about him, he is using you

Khsuhi: (not paying attention to him she continued to cook she said) Dont worry Shyamji I know who he is and who he isnt. (pausing she said) but there is something i would like to ask you

Shyam: (smiling he said) yes khushiji tell me

Khushi: (leaving the spoon she said, folding her hand to her chest) Do you have a problem with Arnavji

Shyam: No Khushiji i am just worried for you (he said covering up) I mean look Prince Arnav will find another girl and then he will throw you off i know it

Khushi: Shyamji dont worry i know how to handle my Arnavji I dont need advice from you at all thank you for your concern but I dont need it

Shyam was pretty shocked with the way she reacted he stayed quite and Khushi arranged the jalebies on the plate and then headed towards the dinning table where Arnav was seated. She had the biggest smile on her face. Shyam just stood their his hands fisted into a big ball of anger he took a deep breath shut his eyes unable to understand what just happened did she just call the Arnav hers. How could she he thought it was time to pester Lavanya to create a wedge between them. He walked out of there and headed towards Lavanaya's room.

Meanwhile Arnav and Akash were on the dinning table discussing something Khushi came out of the kitchen with a hot plate in her hand. She came and placed the plate in front of Arnav with the biggest smile on her face she said

Khushi: Arnavji you can discuss all this later first have your breakfast

Arnav: (smirked and said in a teasing matter) Oh come on Khushi you only said that i should not neglect my princely duties (remembering how she pushed him to work early that day)

Khushi: (blushed but then was quick to say) But Arnavji breakfast is the most important meal you should have it otherwise how will you get energy.

While the two were squabbling Akash who was standing on the side said

Akash: Ok i am leaving you 2 love birds alone. Please continue your squabble i will talk 2 later Arnav (Saying that he left)

Arnav rolled his eyes and then Khushi smiled and said

Khushi: Arnavji i made Jalebies for you (SHe said sitting next to you)

Arnav smiled and then took a bite of it, it was so yum he shut his eyes and relished it Khushi waited for his answer. As he opened his eyes he saw her face she looked anxious. He saw a bit of the batter on her cheek. A naughty smirk came to his face and he took his finger and removed some of the batter from her cheek and then licked it.

Khushi looked at him all confused and then touched her cheeks to find the batter on it. She took the napkin and wiped it off and then said

Khushi: Arnavji tell me know what do you think. I hoped you liked it

Arnav: (chuckled and then said) I am still deciding what tastes better the jalebi or the batter on your cheek

Khushi: (blushed and then slapped him on his shoulder and said) Seriously Arnavji tell me do you like it. I know its not your taste you dont like sweets (she said sadly)

Arnav: (cupped her face and then said) Khushi i thinks its delicious, I love it. So your favorite dish is jalebies

Khushi: (smiled and said excited) Yes it is. I love Jalebies they make me happy you know when i am sad i make jalebies to take my mind off things

Arnav rolled his eyes at her cuteness and then she held onto his arm and said

Khushi: I am so happy you like them Arnavji i was worried you wont like them.

Arnav: I love everything you cook Khushi. Thats wy i gave you the kitchen as your responsibility.

Khushi smiled and kissed Arnav as they both started to munch on the jalebies.
